Other Causes of eye pain:
o Corneal Abrasion
o Giant Cell Arteritis (Temporal Arteritis)
o Keratoconjuctivitis Sicca
o Tumors In Or Around Eye (rare)
o Sjogren's Syndrome (Sicca syndrome):
A chronic autoimmune disease in which white blood cells attack the moisture-producing glands. The hallmark symptoms are dry eyes and dry mouth, but it is a systemic disease, affecting many organs and may cause fatigue.
o Episcleritis:
Inflammation of the superficial layers of the sclera. Sclera is the fibrous white outer coat enclosing the eyeball except the part covered by the cornea.
o Iritis:
Inflammation of the iris of the eye as in Ankylosing Spondylitis, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis.
o Pinguecula:
A small yellowish elevation situated near the inner or outer margins of the cornea and occurring especially in the elderly.
