Other Causes of neck pain:
o Fracture (Broken Cervical Spine Vertebra)
o Thyroid Inflammation (Thyroiditis)
o Retropharyngeal Abscess
o Septic Disciitis (rare)
o Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis
o Ankylosing Spondylitis:
Rheumatoid arthritis of the spine ;called also Rheumatoid spondylitis.
o Meningitis:
Inflammation of the meninges and especially of the pia mater and the arachnoid.
o Torticollis:
Twisting of the neck to one side resulting in abnormal carriage of the head and is usually caused by muscle spasms ;called also wryneck.
o Trachea Inflammation (e.g. from Anesthesia Intubation, etc.)
