	Definition: Inability of the body to control the urination.

	Call 911 or go to the hospital if urinary incontinence is accompanied by: o Difficulty talking, walking, or speaking o Sudden weakness, numbness, or tingling in an arm or leg o Loss of vision o Loss of consciousness or confusion o Loss of bowel control
	Call your doctor if urinary incontinence is accompanied by: o Constipation lasts more than one week o Dribbling, nighttime urination, pain or burning with urination o Increased frequency or urgency, or cloudy or bloody urine o Taking medications that may be causing incontinence o Bladder feels full even after you have just urinated o Incontinence persists for more than 2 weeks
	Diagnostic tests that may be performed include: o Urinalysis (UA) o Urine culture to check for infection if indicated o Cystoscopy (inspection of the inside of the bladder) o Urodynamic studies (tests to measure pressure and urine flow) o Uroflow (to measure pattern of urine flow) o Post void residual (PVR) to measure amount of urine left after urination
	Medications for urinary incontinence may include: o Tolterodine, Detrol, Detrol La o Conjugated Estrogen (Premarin)
